cakes are not my strong suit :(

last week i got this marvelous giant cupcake pan from Williams Sonoma ( a very very dangerous store for a baker!!). since my friend basically made me buy it on the pretense that it was specifically for her birthday, i did. today i decided to do a test run to make sure everything would go (sort of) smoothly for tomorrow...........and attempt #1=FAIL. i needed 2 cake mixes instead of 1. i definitely had enough icing so i just crappily covered it with frosting so it would at least taste good........ it looks totally fugly but it tasted delish!

Lately for some strange reason i have become obsessed with weddings? strange for a person in my situation, but i can't get enough! Say Yes to the Dress, Wedding S.O.S., Rich Bride Poor Bride, all these shows are amazing!

Say Yes to the Dress especially, the dresses are beyond amazing. i want so desperately to road trip it to NYC so i can play dress up in that store, it would be fantazmo! I'd probably end up feeling bad though because one of the awesome consultants would've wasted her time helping me. :( but still they should have a "dress-up" sleep over party! imagine letting a whole bunch of wedding obsessed women loose in that store, talk about good t.v.!

the weird thing though is that even when I'm glued to the t.v. when these shows are on i still can't wrap my head around being married? i know what kind of dress i don't want (mermaids=death, strapless mermaids=worse) but i can't picture the one that i do. none of it. no flowers, food, venue, nada completely empty . maybe if i had someone to include in my wedding fantasy i might be more successful in picturing it. meh.

P.S. a while back some crazy editor thought it would be a good idea to get designers to sketch Bella's wedding dress. ikr crazy. anywho there was one dress in particular that i loved so i thought I'd share; it's designed by Monique L'huillier.

I watch a lot of t.v. or movies, i have shows on almost every night. it's pathetic i know. oh the joy's of being perpetually single, what i have come to grudgingly accept as my destiny. yay me! ( that was sarcasm )

so let's begin our discussion well rather mine on my pathetic lifestyle. Firstly how awesome was House tonight? lets be honest, Hugh Laurie is a sexsi British god! i am in love with that man. this season has been really awesome thank god, i don't think i could've taken another season like last season. i just wish Foreman would DIAF! i used to love him but even 13 is more appealing than him that at this point and i strongly dislike Dr. Hadley!

Secondly Cake Boss, love the cakes, hate buddy and the annoying twats he calls family, especially the blond one! the cakes he and his team make are beyond amazing and it makes me jealous. after awhile though he just annoys the crap outta me and i have to turn it off. on tonight's new episode though the blond one was annoying to the point that she was making me feel physically ill. i wish i could jump into the t.v. (or maybe take a road trip to NJ) to literally strangle her to death or maybe smother her with fondant? hmmm intriguing......

FYI this is the blond one, UGH!

My friends have been telling me for ages I should get my own blog. Apparently my views on the world are worth a listen......news to me.
